Our time in Madrid was brief and beautiful. Bookshops and black coffees. Long days and warm evenings. Conversations we could not navigate well and not dressing appropriately for the weather. Streets filled with balconies, colourful paint and leaves. Skies that seemed like they were painted backdrops for movies. Vegan food. Siesta schedules. Wine.
